Services for Snowmobilers
Businesses in Maine take care of snowmobilers all winter long, and over 2100 Maine businesses support the trails by purchasing business memberships in their local clubs. In the communities which benefit from the snowmobiling economy, riders will find accommodations, dining, snowmobile rentals, gasoline, snowmobile sales, repairs and parts, guide services, and more often than not, local knowledge of the trails and conditions.
Visit a Bed and Breakfast, curl up by the fire at one of Maine’s cozy Inns, rent a rustic cabin, stay at motels featuring hot tubs, lounges and restaurants or visit one of Maine’s growing community of snowmobiling resorts, where meals, lodging, rentals and guide service are all available in one location.
Grab some fast food, dine at an upscale eatery or visit the local family fare restaurant. (Local snowmobile clubs are holding public suppers all the time, too – and the food is good and plentiful…)
There are also plenty of dealerships across the state, and they’d be happy to sell you a sled! Registered sled rental operators also offer snowmobiles and equipment – they’ll give you some operator and safety instruction, and some offer guided touring. Check our rental links, and the list of registered rental operations on the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife web site for a rental in the area where you wish to ride.
